The Frontier of the Finite is a philosophical exploration and critique of our current paradigm, physicalism - the idea that matter is the most fundamental aspect of reality. The book is written for everyone, in an accessible way that assumes no prior knowledge of the subject.
By using allegorical stories and thought experiments, the philosophical ideas are presented clearly to all. The reader will be guided through a diverse range of topics - from the inception of organic life to how we ended up in our current paradigm.
Are we physical things which have, by chance, become conscious of ourselves? Or are we conscious entities that have manifested physically for some reason? This book is an earnest attempt to shed light on this question.
Expect to be challenged in everything you believe about yourself and realityThe Frontier of the Finite
J. S. Webb lives in Brighton, England. After being introduced to Taoism at a young age, he was hooked on philosophy. Webb has been reading philosophy from the East and West for 25 years, completing a BA in philosophy at Sussex University in 2014.
Since then, Webb has travelled the world from the Himalayas to the Amazon, all the while researching and working on his first book. His main area of interest is the philosophy of mind and metaphysics. He is also a keen bibliophile, hiker, stilt walker, singer and guitarist.
Webb argues that physicalism is the main cause of meaninglessness in Western societies.

An exceptionally interesting book - a worthy addition to the philosophy of mind. Plenty of food for thought for both the academic philosopher and the interested layman.
Liz Williams PhD - A History of PaganismThis book should be on the reading list for all students of philosophy and for anyone interested in how life has manifested. It's the ultimate self-help manual written in an accessible style.
Karl Elliot-Gough - Seven Plants to Save the WorldThis defense of idealism is well-written; it is an important subject, and this is good reference work. An enormous tome that is heart-felt and flows well.
